Overview

The Centre for Marine Bio-Innovation (CMB) is pleased to announce its 5th Summer Course on Microbial Ecology. This intensive 5-day course is designed to give participants training and practical experience in tools commonly used in microbial ecology (e.g. experimental design, field sampling, microscopy, analysis of next generation sequencing (NGS) data, statistics and more). Lectures and workshops will be delivered by leading scientist with expertise in the areas of microbiology and ecology.

Times

The course will begin on Sunday 3rd December at 3pm with an introduction, opening lecture (TBA) and dinner.  Workshops and lectures will be held between 9am -6pm Monday (4th December) – Friday (8th December). A draft timetable will be available on request.

Accommodation

There is limited accommodation (not included in registration fee) onsite available to participants. Please contact us if you require this and we can arrange booking.

Registration

Registration cost $AUS 550 (including GST) and includes all teaching material, lunch, morning and afternoon tea on each day and the opening reception.
